Putco Launches New Range of Commuter Buses

In line with its mission of being customer focused and performance driven, PUTCO Limited has launched a new range of commuter buses, in Sandton, today, 29 October 2008. These are the state of the art buses that have features that are aimed at enhancing passenger safety and comfort.

These buses are built on world acclaimed Euro Rider cursor chassis and are fitted with steering axle, which is linked to the steering rack, thereby making the bus more user friendly on the tyres.

The Pop in slide windows which gives the effect when closed, that the windows are one piece, is the first of its kind in South Africa. These windows are also bonded windows. Easy to operate emergency exits and fibreglass roof structure, are some of the features of these new buses.

Heaters and driver alert systems are also fitted on the bus, for the convenience of passengers.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Franco Pisapia, PUTCO Managing Director, indicated that this new bus design is the first of its kind and style in South Africa, and compares well with world class standards.

The introduction of this new range of buses is a product of a cooperation agreement that was signed between PUTCO and Irish bus Iveco.
