Media Release: PUTCO Drivers Continue to Shine

PUTCO drivers have done it again. Yes, they continue to tower above the rest in the bus industry, in the Gauteng Province. Jacob Semelane, our able and distinguished driver has, again, given impetus to our brand by coming first in the 2007 National Driver of the year Competition.
This has booked him a place at the international driver of the year competition to be held in Italy, Rome in October 2008. His continued success at the driver of year competition and his clean record as a dedicated and disciplined PUTCO driver, has earned him respect among his fellow drivers.
Daniel Ntimene and Margaret Sibiya also demonstrated their unquestionable skills in driving , by coming first in the male and female categories in the Gauteng Provincial Driver of the year competition, held in September 2008.
Daniel and Margaret have been with PUTCO for more than ten years. Their skills and professionalism as seasoned drivers has seen them through to the National finals of the Driver of the year competition, to be held in Port Elizabeth in October 2008.
Driver of the year competition was introduced by the National Department of Transport, in an attempt to improve driver skills and reduce accidents on South Africa’s roads.
Congratulations for making the PUTCO family and your country proud.
